maps are impartial documents of the geographic reality. they are powerful visual tools which inform, educate and impress. nevertheless, like paintings, they are always made by a certain point of view and have their own agenda. in art, maps are frequently seen as a medium of expression and are used to explain, critique, subvert, re-imagine or redefine the contemporary world. in this series, cartography is used to express the personal impressions of certain cities, depicted in the colors they recall
